Life is Long
Thanks for sharing. A writer with a good sense of humour.
The word “submitting” in itself has drastic connotations doesn’t it? Well, as you say: “Life is long.”
An interesting poem. Life is not long for everyone. I suppose a long life is something we should be grateful for.
The author is someone who spend his career working with refugees whose days can be very long indeed. I worked with the families of dying children – days can seem very long if you’re in pain. So it’s a matter of perspective. I imagine in the end we all look back and say “that was fast.”
Yes, in both these contexts days would be long. They can be long for the neglected elderly too. Mine seem so short. I never get everything done.
That was a cool read. Thanks Jan!
I like his writing!
It’s great!
