Peter gave himself up for lost, and shed big tears;
but his sobs were overheard by some friendly sparrows,
who flew to him in great excitement and implored him to exert himself.
Lately I’ve found inspiration from an unlikely source. Care to guess who the Peter in the above quote is?

Peter Pan?
Very close! Peter Cottontail!
That was a good one!
Inspiration’s everywhere.
Whoops – I guess his name is just Peter Rabbit!
Those hearts remind me of Linda at Life on a Colorado Farm blog. She is always finding hearts on her farm.
Hi Jan, lovely natural hearts and I enjoyed your quote. I saw it was Peter Rabbit in the comments although I wasn’t actually looking for the answer.
I found a copy of the Peter Rabbit stories that my father gave one of my children and read the first story which was oddly comforting. It’s been a rough thirty days.
I’m sorry – hugs. I love Beatrix Potter and have several different sets of her books.
It’s just been a rough month – but getting better.
I keep reminding myself that everything always gets better eventually.
Peter Rabbit? That’s my guess.
That’s right – I was reading bedtime stories about naughty bunnies!
I had no idea on the Peter.
I see it is Peter Cottontail. That makes sense.
Those hearts are terrific finds, Jan.
Thanks!
I’d been having a rough month so they were a sweet reminder that things weren’t that bad – just a little frustrating .
I hear you!
