Earlier this week we had a couple of nice days and so I took a walk to the Farmer’s Market. Sadly there are fewer and fewer vendors this time of year but I did run into a few utility doors.

Check out doors from around the world at Dan Anton’s place!

The first one looks like a grey heron. They’re magnificent creatures…
😊
That makes more sense than a stork! Thanks!
I also think it looks like a grey heron.
These are so colourful and pretty 💜💜
If there’s one thing my small town has it’s well decorated utility boxes!
Absolutely stunning 🤩
Wonderful doors today, Jan.
Thanks Jet!
These are lovely. Stork or heron it’s beautiful artwork. I like them all.
Thanks Dan. I couldn’t believe I found a few boxes I hadn’t taken pictures of before! The town is not that large!
I like these. Some communities around here have been trying to get artists to paint utility boxes, but it seems like the idea isn’t catching on. Pity, I think it is so charming.
It definitely perks up a walk around town.
Here in Northern Oregon, Mid-November, lovely weather, low 60’s, where’s the winter? Winter, are you coming to dinner or not?
loved the top picture best. I have a metal garden one (bird) that I saw on one of my “expeditions” I brought it home .. but put it in the living room where I can enjoy the elegant form. thanks for sharing!
I’m very fond of metal garden sculptures also – none in the living room yet but you’ve given me an idea.
We have these in my town as well, I really like them! They are just downtown though. I wish the one in our neighborhood would get the treatment, but it seems to get tagged with graffiti instead.
There’s a couple that have been hit with graffiti but luckily not that many.
I never thought to stop to look at utility doors! These are a treasure. 🙂
I’m amazed by the imagination and creativity of the artists!
I love these art works camouflaging utility boxes and recycle bins. Some of them are really lovely like the heron.
It was a great decision on the city’s part! I applaud them – and you as part of the city’s beautification efforts! Thank you!
Love the heron. Sometimes I see them here, by the river or on the salt marshes.
That would be wonderful to see – we only have turkeys in our neighborhood!
🤣🩵
That would be a heron. I love when “utility” boxes serve as support for street art.
Hi Jan, Lovely artworks. Thanks for sharing.
It sounds like a nice day, wandering to and around the market. I do love when utility boxes are made beautiful for the community. Very nice!
Those painted utility doors are very unexpected. You never know where you’ll find man-made art.
Love the street art. Thanks for sharing! Yeah, less fresh food, not getting cheaper. Never mind inflation. I actually think the suppliers are raising prices for the holidays.
So…your leg is 100%!
Not 100% but I can walk!
Okay! You go!
Stork it is, a beautiful one.
