We’ve made it to the fourth month despite the current administration’s efforts to kill us all.

The only day highlighted as a national holiday on this Japanese Midori calendar is April 29th.
From Wikipedia: Showa Day (昭和の日, Shōwa no Hi) is a public holiday in Japan held on April 29. It honors the birthday of Emperor Shōwa (Hirohito), the reigning emperor from 1926 to 1989. Shō (昭) means “shining” or “bright”, and wa (和) means “peace”, signifying the “enlightened peace” that citizens receive.
Here in the US, Emperor Hirohito was not known as a particularly peaceful kind of dude but what do we know? There are many other holidays in Japan during this month but they are week long and regional festivities.
Happy April everyone. No fooling!

Has it only been four months? It feels like four hundred…
I know. I can’t believe how long this years has been.
Ditto what River said. This is year is drudgery brought to us by one person.
One person enabled by a whole bunch of cowards.
That calendar is stunning! I think counting the days would be a little more fun if I had one of those on my wall.
The insets on each month are meant to be postcards but I haven’t been able to part with one yet.
April ….an interesting post especially the video 💜😌😌
Thank you! Hope this is a great month for you!
Thank you Jan and you too 💜💜💜
April already, it’s incredible. Time seems to be galloping by. A lovely calendar’s picture. Thanks for the video. I haven’t actually read this poem 🤦♀️
It’s just the opposite here – every day under Trump is an eternity.
That’s a nice, simple calendar. Is it a wall calendar or a desk calendar?
It’s a wall calendar.
Cool! I really like it.
4 Months? I’m not sure I can take 4 years…
Four months and such turmoil. I wonder where the world will be in four years.
Well, the United States will no longer have the stature that it once had. Twice we’ve elected a bozo and twice the other members of government have refused to stand up for the Constitution – there will be no third time I’m afraid.
A democratic and legal response to the incumbent administration seems overdue. I wonder why?
