That’s a close up of a statue on the top of the Santa Barbara Mission. It seemed appropriate considering the war mongering of a certain person or group of persons.
I am seeing the comments but not the blog. I drove from the bay area to San Diego stopping in as many missions as were easily visited along the way, Santa Barbara offers a favorite, and I love the pictures you posted.
Though I did not find a mission in Solvang, I enjoyed the town. Many fun places to visit.
