The character of Sergei is only mentioned in the original Flipka. He manages the primarily Russian performers at the Vegas show where Fi Butters is in charge of the props. Flipka is actually set a few years before Cirque du Soleil style shows arrived in Vegas but these shows tend to warp time, making anything possible in the world of the mind.
