Seen Unseen #WordlessWednesday

For Hugh’s #WordlessWednesday

A description:
Unseen in the branches of a young redwood tree.
Perhaps alone.
Perhaps lonely.
Perhaps a mourning dove.
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
But hoping to be ...
unseen.

Seen,
By the lone lantern,
nearby,
as the sun sets,
and prepares for the hollow moon.

    1. I was feeling very alone yesterday. I’ve lost so many confidantes over the past couple of years. I have other “friends” but they don’t really know me – or care to. Somehow I think you know the feeling.

      1. I think I do too Jan . When we lose confidents as you say it is hard to replace them. Trust doesn’t always come easy. We sometimes find peace in unusual places. I think wordpress helps us meet people who can help us hold it together 💜💜 take care 💜

      2. I was thinking similar thoughts this morning, JT. When we moved, we left behind a couple with whom we were very close. While we have some friends here, they aren’t as close. I miss that!

      3. My closest friends have always been people I can get into a tiff with and we can work it out. And laugh about it later. These days I feel on eggshells with many friends. It’s a lonely feeling.

  1. Wordless, yes … but screamless, no way. My neighborhood is filled with doves and screams. Mostly the sound of children playing like they are killing each other. So it goes. The internet is really like the ocean and one’s study becomes the shore. Duke
